Our installation tool allows the installer the choice to stop and check the insert progress at any interval time. This ensures that every insertion is perfect as you are able to reinsert the wire thread insert if it is not being fitted correctly.
The handle at the top serves as a tang breaking tool which other tooling does not come with.

Plain Mandrel Prewinder Type - The Plain Mandrel Prewinder Tool is commonly used in the industry for installing wire thread inserts as it is suitable for both free and screw locking insets. During installation, the tool is simply withdrawn from the fitted insert, making it a quick and effective prewinder tool to use.

Threaded  Mandrel Prewinder Type - Threaded Mandrel Prewinder Tools are suitable for any manufacturer of both free-running and screw locking inserts.

It is because they have pitch control hence it is virtually impossible to cross threads or miss-pitch inserts even if using extra fine pitches.

However, the overall installed time is much longer than the plain mandrel type as the mandrel has to unwind from the installed insert.
