WIRE THREAD INSERT MACHINE TAPS

Spiral Flute - Spiral Flute Taps are designed for tapping blind holes as they are manufactured with a bottoming chamfer lead with helical flutes in the same direction as the thread. This tap is suitable for blind holes or in materials that have a continuous chip.
Spiral Point - Spiral Point Taps produce a tap with initial left-hand flutes which have a progressive cutting rake towards the point of the tap. It eliminates hazards caused by chip accumulation in the flutes by pushing the swarf ahead of the tap and allowing it to exit through the hole at the end. This tap is suitable for tapping precise deep holes in a single pass at high speeds.
