We offer 3 Types of Hand Taps which are Roughing Tap, Finishing Tap and Bottoming Tap

Roughing Tap - Roughing Taps provide a gradual cutting action that prepares a tapped hole to be marginally undersized in diameter before the usage of finishing/bottoming taps.
​They are in particular useful for course pitched threads, large-diameter sizes and tough materials.

Finishing Tap - Finishing Taps provides a tapped hole with a full diameter thread with its 3-5 taper lead thread.  
It is the most commonly sought and used tap as it eliminates the use of roughing and bottoming taps.

Bottoming Tap - Bottoming Taps aka Plug Taps provide a full diameter thread at the bottom of the blind hole as the tap has only 1 - 1.5 lead threads.
It is typically used after the usage of a roughing.
